My pen name is PIRANHA. I'm a scribe that works with a combination of both old and new techniques and materials. I'm most interested in the history of medieval art made by gender, sexual, and racial minorities. The communal trends of a given era, rather than any singular artist, are also among my favorite things to study. In terms of aesthetic, European illuminated manuscripts are far from my most favorite type of art, but I find the process of creating them so challenging and rewarding. The bizarre concepts they depict and the scribe's marginalia (commentary or doodles written in the margins of a codex) is a charming insight into an ancient trade.
